Mount Makulot, a 930 MASL high volcanic rock wall, is said to be part of Taal Volcano’s crater rim. Some scientists contend that Taal Volcano was once a massive volcano before a violent eruption caused the slopes to cave in. This caused water to rush in, forming a lake that left only the tip of the previous peak exposed, and that is now known as the current Volcano Island. The slopes of the previous volcano now formed ridges surrounding the lake, with Mount Makulot as the highest volcanic cone on the south side, Tagaytay Ridge on the north, and at lower level, the lakeshore settlements surrounding Taal Lake.
The "Rockies," located at the northern edge of Mount Makulot, affords one a stunning view of the mountain, the lake and the Volcano Island from a cliff that drops far way down to the jungle below.

The Climb
We arrived at the Jump off before 5 in the morning and we started to trek at 5:30am.
This is my first time to climb na mangibang bayan haha usually kase Tarlac area lng ako...but i decided na sumubok naman ng iba para naman masabi ko na may bago sa expirience ko :)
This is the first view that I've seen after 15 mins of our climb...grabe eto yung first mountain na naakyat ko na puro assault nahirapan ako dahil di pa sapat ang expirience sa pag akyat :)
Sa kalagitnaan ng pag akyat napakaraming beses ko natanong kung malapit na ba kung ilang minuto pa sagot naman ng guide 10 mins na lang daw...pero "kyah nakailang 10 mins kana wala pa din tayo huhu"
Road to Rockies....jusme napakatarik!!!
The Rockies...Oha finally!!! pagkatapos ng ilang oras na pag akyat nakarating din sa "Rockies"...My G akala ko nung nakarating na sa Rockies yun na yun pero hindi pa pala pero keri pa naman...
Road to summit....hahaha grabe makita ko pa lng kung gaano kataas ang kailangan akyatin pinanghihinaan nako ng loob...pero bawal sumuko nasa kalahti na eh...
The Summit...grabe akala ko hindi ko kakayanin na makarating sa summit pero Thanks God Nakaya ko :)...kahit na napaka dulas at hirap ng daan lahat na ng kahirapan nadanasan ko but still Blessed na narating namin ito ng ligtas ang lahat...
Akala ko magiging madali na lang ang lahat sa pag baba...nagkamali ako huhu kita naman sa pic eh...pero kahit na gano pa kahirap ang madaanan go lang ng go...susuko ka pa ba kung alam mong malapit kana matapos hihi
Road to Grotto...oha isang Assault lng yan pa grotto pero kapagod din...
The Grotto...finally the last part of our climb...ng marating namin ang grotto syempre nag nagdasal ako nagpasalamat sa lahat lahat ng kagandahang nangyayari sa life ko :)...at syempre Maraming Salamat din sa mga taong nakasama ko sa climb it's a great expirience na makasama kayo :) Till Our Next Climb Team :)
